Review: Voyeur by Fiona Cole

Release Date: April 26, 2018

Cover Design: Najla Qamber Designs

Synopsis

I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.

Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching.

But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible.

The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass.

I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I’ve seen all of her, I can’t look away.

My Review

“Every day my desire seemed to be pulling at a leash as it tried to break free and announce to everyone that I wanted her.”

I’m sitting here still reeling and trying to compartmentalize all these beautiful feels that Voyeur made me experience. I knew going into this book that it was a professor-student romance; however, the journey Fiona took us on with these characters was so much more than that label. I don’t even know where to begin with writing a review for this book, which seems to be a running theme when it comes to the ones I fall in love with the most.

Starting out, it seems as if Dr. Callum Pierce (yes, I love using his full name) is your typical hero; however, once we start getting deeper into the story, we learn that there’s much more than meets the surface. He’s a complex, broken man and everything I wasn’t expecting. I believe he’s a major factor in what made me fall in love with Voyeur.

“Oaklyn was either going to make me or destroy me.”

Oaklyn is such a smart, hard-working, determined woman. Having a female in a book be the “glue” or “hero” in a complex relationship was a refreshing change. She was everything Callum needed to grow and have courage to move on from his past.

“The idea of never having felt his smile and happiness directed at me, felt unimaginable. My love for him felt destined no matter the circumstances.”

Voyeur is a breathtaking, beautiful, epic forbidden-love. Endlessly captivating. Addictive. I couldn’t get enough of it! And as always, Fiona doesn’t fail at bringing the heat. If you love the forbidden, the seemingly out-of-reach love, then I highly recommend this book.
